Skill Building; ‘Ukulele Instructor Roundtable Workshop

with Kimo Hussey

brought to you by Ukes for Kids SF Bay Area

Do you teach 'ukulele to kids? Need new ideas and strategies for your kids ‘Ukulele Program?

The goal of the roundtable workshop is to help you develop new and creative teaching strategies, repertoire and ideas to help you with your kids ‘ukulele program,  network and share ideas with others with similar programs and, of course, have a good time!  Whether you lead a community based kids ‘ukulele program, are a private ‘ukulele instructor, a school music teacher, a school teacher that wishes to integrate music in your curriculum or an ‘ukulele enthusiast that would like to teach ‘ukulele to kids, this roundtable workshop will provide you with new material and strategies that will help you take your program to the next level.

The workshop will be led by Kimo Hussey of Kaneohe Hawaii.  Kimo brings a mountain of experience, music background and Aloha that for certain will provide an enriching day of education.  Kimo is considered one of Hawai’i’s foremost ukulele instructors and musicians.  He is sought out worldwide to spread 'ukulele Aloha.  He is the executive director of the Pacific Music Foundation (http://www.pmfhawaii.com/) whose mission is to provide and support music education and outreach, with a specific interest in music that soothes and heals.

We are asking that each workshop participant provide a background of your current or prospective program and details on what you wish to get out of this workshop.
